DevOps/Automation Architect
Long Term Contract

Alameda, CA 94502 (onsite)

The primary engagement is to recommend, architect, and implement automation solutions for deploying, managing, removing various software and systems in use for the client. This role will require the candidate to not just implement solutions, but to shape the technology and the direction that the client uses to get to their goals. Our client wants to invest, adopt DevOps methodologies and best practices while moving most of their infrastructure and processes to the Cloud.

• Total IT experience of minimum 13+ years and 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, and/or Ansible
• 3+ years of experience GitHub, Git and 5+ years of experience in working with customers and offshore teams
• Architecting DevOps procedures and methodology; Deployments in AWS, Azure, and VMware
• Experience with automation using Ansible, PowerShell, and/or Terraform with Jenkins and GitHub
• Communication and Presentation skills necessary to communication with Directors, Managers, and other Team Members
• Secondary skills – Knowledge/experience with Rubrik; Solid documentation and project tracking skills with Jira or Confluence (or equivalent)
• Good to have - Azure AD, Infrastructure experience; System Admin background and troubleshooting skills
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Display sound communication skills while acting as a point of contact between various teams and stakeholders. Patient, level-headed and cool under pressure
• Detail-oriented and meticulous with a keen desire to deliver the highest quality solutions to clients and setting high standards for excellent client service
• Any technical certification is helpful, but not mandatory; Self-starter with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise them
• This is an individual contributor role. However, the candidate should be a good team player
