Job Roles and Responsibilities:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science with 8 years of experience required
• 5 Years as Data Analyst/Modeler
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and other database solutions
• Data warehousing and ETL tools
• Experience working with APIs to collect or ingest data.
• Experience working with large data sets and with distributed computing (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Apache Spark, etc.)
• Strong Hadoop scripting skills to process petabytes of data, experience in migrating from Teradata/DB2 to Hadoop technologies.
• Experience working on Databases -Physical Design and Implementation (Teradata/ DB2/ SQL Server)
• SQL Performance Optimization experience.
• Experience with Teradata, DB2/ SQL Server Tools and Utilities and Advanced SQL (preferably Teradata)
• Translates business requirements into ETL Solution
• Analyze and interpret all complex data for all ETL processes
• Document all technical and system specification documents
• Strong experience in at least one of the ETL technologies
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse environment is required
• Experience designing staging areas for the ETL process
• Experience with Unix shell scripting
• Experience in Python scripting
• Awareness of Excel Macros
• Perform unit testing and validation of developed ETL code
• Good communication skills, presentation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to articulate the solution clearly to the team
