• Needed: Experience with Active Directory on 2012 R2 and 2016 (Active Directory, DNS, group policy, all facets of AD)
• Needed: PKI knowledge (certificates, certificate authorities, CRLs)
• Needed: Understanding of LDAPS and authentication
• Needed: Ability to manage Windows 2012 R2 and 2016 hosts (patching, daily maintenance), diagnose issues facing domain controllers.
• Desired: SCOM knowledge to be able to utilize SCOM console to monitor health of servers and follow up on issues.
• Desired: Azure AD understanding (both on the cloud side and the diagnosing sync failures in the AD Sync client)
• Desired: Powershell knowledge (Often a go to resource on Powershell scripts and diagnosing)
• Desired: Splunk knowledge (used largely in their logging)
• Desired: Infoblox knowledge(DHCP)
