Need Technical Support Analyst

Location: Overland Park, KS

Duration: 6-9 months contract

Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves problems across a portfolio of applications comprising an application system. Monitors, manages, reports on and maintain one or more applications to ensure application availability meets established SLAs of application users. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues and in making recommendations. Receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. Provides technical expertise and value to implement, integrate and configure processes, applications, and scripts into an application system. Engages and contributes to analysis, design, test, and implementation of application functionality. Interacts with other groups and communicate with end-users and other stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information and status.

• Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school
• Five years of systems related or technical support experience
• Ability to participate in a 24X7 on call rotation
• Experience with distributed system monitoring platforms/techniques
• In-depth knowledge of Distributed Operating Systems (Unix/Linux)

• Working knowledge of Java (they should be able to read Java code well enough to help diagnose functional problems when triaging issues).

• Working knowledge of jBoss (1 year experience with JBoss or 2 years’ experience with another Java container e.g. WebSphere Application server or WebLogic.)   

• Experience with IBM Datapower edge appliance administration is preferred
