Need Sr Devops Engineer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6+ Months

Responsible for understanding and being able to articulate to stakeholders the end to end CI/CD Solution for automating software delivery for Cloud Native Solutions deployable on Pivotal Cloud Foundry PaaS Platform • Responsible for developing a comprehensive plan for the delivery of the DevOps solutions and capabilities, bearing in mind the overall org objectives and delivery date. • Ensures constant and periodic reference to the program plans. Any deviations from the plan will only be permitted upon evidence and reason-based arguments. • Deep understanding of SDLC lifecycle including security and compliance requirements • Work closely with Software delivery teams to evangelize DevOps culture and enable Automation for their applications • Strong understanding of open source and emerging technologies including Kubernetes, Pivotal Container Services (PKS) • Very strong understanding of SOX Compliance and other policies that govern change and release management of application • Act as a liaison with other project/program managers and architects (security, infrastructure, EA and Application) and with delivery teams working primarily within an Agile and Pivotal methodology • Mentor delivery team technical project managers • Very strong and clear communicator who has is skilled in the art of negotiation and persuasion • Seasoned program manager with a technical background in application development in either .Net or Java stack (ideally both) • Strong communication and presentation skills, including updates to executive stakeholders • Possess excellent leadership and communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools • Professional certification in Project Management is a plus • Excellent interpersonal skill and critical thinking skills • Ability to maintain a good relationship with stakeholders • Good knowledge of Public cloud (either Azure or AWS) and understanding of Cloud service offerings • Good knowledge of VMware based solutions including virtualization and Cloud enablement. • Good understand of various source code repositories like TFS, Git and SVN • Experience in Cloud Native Application Architecture with working knowledge of Platform as a Service (PaaS). Experience in Pivotal Cloud Foundry or open source Cloud Foundry platform is desired • Demonstrated experience in creating technical white papers around DevOps. Experience o Minimum of 15 years of experience in the IT field focusing on development projects and DevOps o Minimum of 5 years of development experience in .Net or Java/Spring application platforms
