Position Overview:
• Installations, configuration and security settings for SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2008R2 ,2012 stand-alone servers.
• Upgrading/Migration the databases to SQL Server 2005 to 2008/2008R2/2012
• Experience of Clustering, Replication, Logshipping & Mirroring. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
• Knowledge on SSRS, SSAS, SSIS configurations.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Responsible for planning and organizing database, Database creation, performance tuning, restoration, patch installation etc
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Experience in AlwaysOn.
• Creation and maintenance of database in cloud.
• MSSQL certification.
• Knowledge on ITIL process.
• Good Communication skill.
• Good team coordination (Onsite / Offshore) – 24 x 7 support experience.
• Good to have Experience in other DB technologies.
• Preferred to have Guidewire
