A growing technology company based in Lexington, KY is seeking a full-time JAVA SOFTWARE DEVELOPER. The position will report to the CIO. This company operates and manages high speed, secure payment gateways for a large number and variety of clients. The customer base uses a mixture of electronic funds transfer and managed network services to ensure high network availability and secure credit transactions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications
• Utilize and design MySQL databases to support Java applications
• Highly proficient ability to incorporate efficient and creative programming techniques for the ongoing development and design of current software to meet business needs
• Actively engage in the physical operational processes from a technological and operations perspective to contribute unique solutions within a constantly changing business environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related field
• Minimum 3 years of full time Java Development experience
• Strong preference for military experience
• Ability to identify and overcome complex issues with minimal guidance
• Working knowledge of software development and interface creation
• Practical experience maintaining and developing applications
• Practical experience configuring and maintaining MySQL and Java Script
• Creative business perspective with an open mindset for agile development
• The ability to interact and support multiple internal and external customers simultaneously
• Experience with tech support for escalated software issues
• Experience with IntelliJ IDEA a plus, but not required

Hours are 8:00a-5:00p M-F with additional work done outside of those hours as needed. Remote work will be an option after the introductory period. The initial period will be conducted at the Lexington, KY office or Alpharetta, GA office. Very little travel would be involved. No Visa Sponsorship is available.
