Need Project Manager (PMP)

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership PMP Certified PMO Manager and Program Manager with extensive hands-on experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Agile Scrum, SDLC/Waterfall, ITIL, and PMBOK processes required to program manage and facilitate the delivery of multiple concurrent projects on time and within budgetary requirements.
  • Leader and highly effective people manager able to clearly and concisely communicate project objectives, resolve technical or process bottlenecks, and establish priorities for cross-functional project delivery teams.
  • Adeptly support all PMO efforts proving oversight and guidance on scope management, resource management, budget/estimate management, project schedules, reporting, and collaboration management with stakeholders on high visibility projects.
  • Define and develop enterprise-wide project/program management practices, governance standards, processes and metrics. Manage all levels of projects up to and including large, complex projects.
  • Projects use cross-functional teams, are complex, large, time sensitive and/or mission critical. This includes the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and closure project processes.
  • Determine detailed requirements, comprehensive scope definition, create staffing and work plans, determine task estimates and create a project schedule and budget, create a risk plan, quality plan, procurement plan and communication plan.
  • Partner with enterprise to ensure effective and efficient project management processes, tools and practices are established and continuously improved.
  • Ensure that all projects within portfolio/programs are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters; negotiates changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives and timelines.
  • Maintains effective relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization to effectively manage the program and ensure the program objectives are being met.
  • Unit Oversight and Direction Measure project performance against baselines, performs forecasting to predict the actual completion date of a project, verify scope and quality, manage change requests, resolve issues, facilitate conflict resolution, measure team member performance, manage financial reserves, track the project budget, authorize expenditures, conduct risk audits, and administer contracts
  • Confirm work was performed to requirements, perform scope verification, document final team performance, update and archive records, conduct lessons learned, facilitate hand-off to program support and release resources
  • Analyze lessons learned and recommend implementation of new policies, methodologies and state of the art technology to continuously improve the project management program and to increase the successfulness of future projects

Minimum Training and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following; data management, data sciences, information technology, computer science, business administration, or related field

8 years team management experience, demonstrating ability to positively impact strategic and tactical finance, information technology and administration initiative 8 or more years of professional experience in an IT-related domain (programming, network architect, etc.)
